EXPERIENCE MATTERS!!!
I'm a retired teacher. The experience I received during my 22 years of being in the classroom will enhance our school board. I UNDERSTAND the needs of the teachers. I LISTEN to parent concerns. I PLACE THE VALUE OF OUR STUDENTS AT THE FOREFRONT OF EVERY DESCISION!
Background
I was born in Dinuba, grew up in Orosi, and graduated from Orosi High School. Before finishing my Liberal Arts Degree at Fresno Pacific University, I worked managing the family business, Pope's Propane Service.
My first teaching job was at Monson-Sultana Elementary School. My family moved to Visalia in 2001, as I began teaching for Visalia Unified School District. My experience was primarily in elementary grades. I taught first, second, and fourth grades, and also several years of summer school at the middle school level.
I retired this year after 22 years of classroom experience. I truly enjoyed my interaction with staff, parents and students. Having retired at a young age, I desire to continue to impact and make a difference in students' lives and community.
I'm ready for a new challenge! I believe I can make a positive difference with the position of Trustee in Area 6.
I would appreciate your vote of confidence.
