My consultancy focuses on extracting reliable, clinically meaningful measurements from physiological signals — with expertise spanning research strategy through to prototype implementation.
Areas of work
I have carried out consultancy work for several wearable manufacturers, from start-ups to leading patient monitoring providers to universities.
My work includes:
Designing signal processing pipelines, and developing signal processing algorithms.
Implementing algorithms for use on devices.
Reviewing existing algorithms and codebases.
Designing clinical study protocols to evaluate devices.
Evaluating wearable devices in the clinical setting.
Research
My research focuses on signal processing for wearables, with a focus on healthcare applications. I have particular expertise in photoplethysmography sensing, including developing robust signal processing algorithms for noisy, real-world data.
