How might performance frame, archive, and expand notions of Black aesthetics and geographies, Black feminist and queer futures, and Afrofuturism? PERFORMING BLACK FUTURES takes up this central question through a keynote event with Detroit-based artists Salakastar, Franchesca Lamarre, and Biba Bell; performances, panels, and embodied engagements; and an anti-racist professionalization roundtable.
