Hi, I am Nitesh Arora. I am a Ph.D. Candidate at Soft Matter Laboratory working with Prof. Stephan Rudykh at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Broadly, I am interested in the design and mechanics of soft architected materials.

Research areas:

  • Active (magnetic/electric) soft materials

  • Soft actuators and sensors

  • Inverse design using Machine Learning

  • Tunable architected materials

  • Metamaterials

  • Instability-induced pattern transitions

  • Wave propagation
