NGSCES 2026 will be the 16th edition of the New Generation in Strongly Correlated Electron Systems conference.
NGSCES aims to bring together cutting-edge ideas, trends and opportunities in the investigation of correlated systems and material science, with input from both theory and experiment. A defining aspect of the NGSCES conference series is the emphasis it places on bringing together young scientists at an early stage in their careers, with the aim of promoting discussion and collaborations in a friendly and inclusive environment. For this purpose, the program of the conference will include pedagogical talks given by our invited speakers as well as many oral and poster presentations chosen among the contributed abstracts.
The 2026 edition will take place in Aarhus, Denmark, from September 14 to September 18. The conference is being organized by
Maria Chatzieleftheriou, CNRS, École Polytechnique, France
Morten Holm Christensen, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
Elena Gati, Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany
Igor Marković, University of Birmingham, United Kingdom
