Management of Emerging Technology Lab

The Management of Emerging Technology (MET) Laboratory, led by Prof. Kyuho Maeng in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Kumoh National Institute of Technology, conducts research at the intersection of technology, economics, and management to develop strategies that enhance the success of innovation.

Our goal is to design data-driven strategies for new product development (NPD) and technology policy based on demand forecasting and economic valuation, aiming to improve market success and maximize social welfare.

To address the uncertainty inherent in emerging technologies, we continuously develop statistical and analytical methodologies grounded in interdisciplinary knowledge from engineering, economics, and management.

우리는 수요 예측과 경제적 가치평가를 중심으로, 신제품 개발(New Product Devlopment, NPD) 및 기술 정책 수립에 필요한 데이터 기반 전략을 설계하여 시장 성공과 사회적 후생 극대화를 목표로 합니다.

혁신 기술의 불확실성을 해결하기 위해 공학, 경제학, 경영학의 학제 간 지식을 바탕으로 통계 및 분석 기법을 지속적으로 개발하고 있습니다.

We are always looking for motivated graduate students (MS/PhD) and undergraduate research interns (BS-MS integrated program) to join our group.
