My research interests center on the mechanics of functional materials for energy storage and flexible electronics. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, and I have Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University - West Lafayette, USA. I am a two-time recipient of the Perry Teaching Fellowship to be a course instructor at Purdue University, and I received the Estus H. and Vashti L. Magoon Award for excellence in teaching. I have a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of São João del Rei, Brazil.
