The fascinating features of Kerala are not limited its landscape but also have some historical importance. Some in the form of religious landmarks such as Jewish Synagogues, St. Francis church etc…, and a great importance for the culture also. Kerala culture is a combination of Indian and Dravidian. The main attraction of Kerala is its performing arts like kathakali, mohiniyattom etc..

The culture and heritage of Kerala can see in its art forms , dresses and in the people also. The festivals in kerala is a good examples of the culture. All festivals follow the traditions. The Thrissur pooram, onam , vishu etc are some of them. And elephants are one of the attractions of festivals related to hindu religion.

The most common historical places include Mattancherry Palace, Bekal Fort, Jewish Synagogue, Bolgatty Palace, Hill Palace Museum etc. all of these will show something about the Kerala history. Mattancherry palace also known as dutch palace has a great collection of murals covering on its walls. Like that Bekal fort was built to protect the palace from enemies and it was a significant military station for the army of Tipu Sulthan during his efforts to capture Malabar. Like that visiting all historical places will remind us something about the Kerala history
