Dear Family and Friends of Jesus Is The Way Christian Church,

A new year has dawned.  "Bless the LORD oh my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name" (Psalms 103:1).  We have entered in to a new year of blessings, in spite of everything to the contrary.  A year which dawned with the President of the United States holding federal employees hostage by refusing to sign a budget to return them to work because the budget did not include funding for building a wall along the Mexican-American border.  It is the dawn of a new year where the flames of prejudice has been fanned so high, a coward killed an innocent child and wounded her mother by shooting through their car window.  It is the start of a year where wrong is being articulated as right, and right as wrong and society is going along by not speaking out!  The result has been an increase in fear of what tomorrow may bring though the Bible tells us not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of its self (Matthew 6:34).  Therefore, Jesus Is The Way Christian Church wants you to know, God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).  God has called us not to fear man, but He who can destroy both body and soul (Matthew 10:28 ).  The Bible directs us to know our help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).

It is the responsibility of the Church to encourage the body in times such as these, not to be afraid.  To call to remembrance the Psalm of David, "The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid" (Psalm 27:1-2)?  Jesus Is The Way Christian Church for 2019 is sounding the clarion call - NO MORE FEAR!  We began the clarion cry with our Watch Night Service, whose theme was, "No More Fear in the New Year!" As pastor of Jesus Is The Way, I encourage you to view the videos, especially the sermons and be blessed.  We can bring about change by sharing JESUS who takes away all fear, with as many people willing to receive him!
