I am Jeffrey Everts, a theoretical physicist working in soft condensed matter and biophysics. Currently, I am an assistant professor (adjunct) at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, University of Warsaw as part of the Excellence Initiative - Research University” programme of the Institute of Advanced Studies.

Before, I was an Ulam fellow at the Institute of Physical Chemistry (Instytut Chemii Fizycznej Polskiej Akademii Nauk, Warsaw) in the group of Robert Hołyst. Previously, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow in the group of Miha Ravnik at the University of Ljubljana, working on topological soft matter. Even before that I was a PhD student in the group of René van Roij at Utrecht University. My PhD thesis was concerned with charged colloids and our research was performed in close collaboration with the experimental group of Alfons van Blaaderen.

During my studies I was also very active in research. My MSc thesis on topological insulators with Cristiane de Morais Smith resulted in a publication in PRB. During my BSc studies I worked on supramolecular self-assembly together with Paul van der Schoot, Anja Palmans and Bert Meijer, first as a student assistant and later for my BSc. theses in Physics and Chemistry, resulting in publications in Chem. Comm. and in Chem. Eur. J.
