H Διονυσία Χατζή είναι μέλος Ε.ΔΙ.Π. στο Τμήμα Θεολογίας ΑΠΘ όπου και ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές και τη διδακτορική της διατριβή με θέμα «Θεολογία και κινηματογράφος σε διάλογο. Το αίτημα της ετερότητας στην κινηματογραφική ποιητική του Θόδωρου Αγγελόπουλου». Εργάστηκε ως αγιογράφος βυζαντινών εικόνων και τοιχογραφιών, διδάσκοντας σε δημόσια ΙΕΚ. Υπηρέτησε τη Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση, κατόπιν γραπτού διαγωνισμού του ΑΣΕΠ, ως μόνιμη διορισμένη καθηγήτρια. Υπήρξε μέλος της συγγραφικής ομάδας των Φακέλων του Μαθήματος των θρησκευτικών. Συμμετείχε στη διοργάνωση επιμορφωτικών σεμιναρίων και συνεδρίων. Παρακολουθεί  επιμορφωτικά σεμινάρια στο Τμήμα Σπουδής της θρησκείας της École Pratique des Hautes Études, του πανεπιστημίου Paris Sciences & Lettres. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται σε ζητήματα Τέχνης και Αισθητικής, Ανθρωπολογίας και Διαπολιτισμικής εκπαίδευσης και διαλόγου.

Dionysia Chatzi studied Religious Studies at the School of Theology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has an MA degree on Systematic Theology, focusing on the dialogue between Theology and Atheism, and a PhD degree in the interdisciplinary field of Religion and Film Art, through which she explores the notion of Otherness, both from the same university. She is implementing training courses at Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes of Paris Science et Lettres University. She has worked as a byzantine icon and fresco painter and has delivered courses on Byzantine art at the Institute of Vocational Training (2003-2006). For many years she worked as a teacher of religion in Secondary Education. She was also a member of the Drafting Group authorized by the Greek Ministry of Education for the writing of the texts books for religion classes in Secondary schools. For the last year she works as a Laboratory Teaching Staff at the School of Theology of Aristotle University. Her diverse scholarly interests include Art, Aesthetics, Anthropology and Intercultural education and dialogue.
