Hawaii County Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program

PROGRAM CLOSED AS OF NOVEMBER 5, 2020

PROGRAM CLOSED NOVEMBER 5, 2020

Aloha,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce today, November 5, 2020, the closure of the Hawaii County Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program.

The response to the program was tremendous. By the end of November, our organizations project that a total of $10.8 million will go to support more than 5,408 Hawaii Island residents with rent and mortgage assistance grants. We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to provide help and hope to the many families of our island home.

We mahalo all community members and partners that have supported our work since August. A special mahalo goes to the County of Hawaii for making funds available and working closely with our six on-island nonprofit organizations to administer the program.

Stay safe and healthy. Malama pono,

Hawaiian Community Assets, Hawaii Community Lending, Hawaii First Federal Credit Union, Habitat for Humanity Hawaii Island, HOPE Services Hawaii, Hawaii Island Home for Recovery, Neighborhood Place of Puna
