I am an Assistant Professor (a.k.a. 助教, Research Associate) in the Masaki Oshikawa group at the Institute of Solid State Physics, the University of Tokyo.

My research focus is on the field theory aspects of condensed matter physics, especially on systems with intriguing connections with high energy theory/holography.

I think a lot about spin liquids and their corresponding emergent gauge field theories. I am also keen on understanding certain exotic topological states of matter that mimic gravity and have holographic behavior in the context of AdS/CFT.
