Romeo & Juliet

Geek Parties of the Grand Valley presents the Summer Shakespeare Series 2023, opening with Romeo and Juliet. In this Wasteland-themed production, themes of waste and trauma are explored with costumes and sets made from garbage and the traditional Shakespearean script of a whole community of adults who fail two teens resulting in their suicide.

All three performances of this production will be free, with doors at 6:00 and play at 6:30 each night. Wednesday, June 14, find us at The SHIFT, a place for arts and food on the northeast corner of 7th and Main. Enjoy the show and food trucks at this open-air venue.

Bring a chair or blanket Friday, June 23, where we will be at Lowell Village Commons on the southeast corner of 7th and Grand, in front of the Lowell School where R5 used to be. Gemini Brewing Company is right inside, and their regular Friday food truck is in the parking lot.

Saturday, June 24, we are on the lawn at Edgewater Brewing, who has crafted a special Romeo & Juliet drink menu for our production. Guests who order off of this menu will be entered into a drawing.

Geek Parties of the Grand Valley, a Colorado non-profit, is a loosely associated group of geeks who throw fandom parties for the general public. We celebrate the geek within everyone, regardless of identity, culture, belief, or ability. We will do our best to accommodate our participants’ needs. You can email or message confidential accommodation requests.
