G. Rembado (Postdoc in Mathematics)

Currently, I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, hosted by the Universities of Montpellier and Maryland, working with D. Calaque, and R. Wentworth.

Previously, I was a postdoc at the Hausdorff Centre for Mathematics (HCM), working with E. Peltola; before that, I was a postdoc at the University of Geneva and the ETH Zürich, working with A. Alekseev and G. Felder.

My PhD thesis was prepared at the Laboratoire de Mathematiques d'Orsay and the Centre for the Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces (QGM), under the supervision of P. Boalch and J. E. Andersen, while In 2013 I was a PGSM Master Laureate in Paris (at the ENS/Paris VI).

My research

I study the geometry, deformations and quantisation(s) of moduli spaces of connections on Riemann surfaces, particularly irregular singular meromorphic connections on principal bundles.
(But I am interested in all the nonabelian-Hodge-theoretic avatars, i.e. also Higgs bundles and Stokes data.)

I mainly use geometric and algebraic techniques: especially Poisson/symplectic geometry, representation/Lie theory, and geometric/deformation quantisation. This is a bit at the interface with theoretical/mathematical physics, leading in particular to formalisations of quantum field theories with gauge/conformal symmetries: notably (complex) Chern--Simons theory, and `irregular' versions of the WZNW model.

The main objects I have encountered (so far)
