Fight the new drug

Pornography Awareness Presentation

Pornography is a problem affecting our children & youth. In all of its forms (books, magazines, and especially internet on handheld devices) it is a silent threat to the health and well-being of children and teenagers in our community. The effects of pornography are a serious and real as drugs and alcohol use. Research shows significant links between pornography use and many issues in our society, including addiction, sexual activity at younger ages, abuse, isolation, social dysfunction, decreased feelings of self-worth, objectification of others (especially women and children), sex trafficking, and other violent behaviors and crimes (see learn.ftnd.org and this site). Although there is much done to educate children about drugs and alcohol, there is little education offered to warn parents and youth of the dangers of pornography ... until now!

Please join us on May 23rd for a special Fight the New Drug community presentation. Bring a friend.

Hi, I am Parker & this is my approved Eagle Scout Project of the Boy Scouts of America. With the support of many civic, religious, and educational leaders, I am bringing a non-profit organization, Fight the New Drug, to bring pornography awareness education to our area. The Fight the New Drug presentation uses peer-reviewed research to educate youth and adult about the dangers of pornography to individuals, families, and society. We hoping this starts a conversation that lasts much longer than this one community event.

Now you can get educated about its effects on individuals, families, and our Orange County community. Visit ftnd.org to see personal accounts, scientific articles, and other resources to learn about this huge issue.
