Each year, the Building Industry Association of Washington state holds its annual Excellence in Remodeling (EIR) Award competition designed to recognize the state’s best remodeling and design work. The competition is open to all BIAW members.

In the 2021 EIR competition, BIAW members across the state submitted 39 entries in 20 different categories.

Once submitted, projects are voted on by industry experts based on aesthetics, special or unique design solutions, quality craftsmanship, appropriate building materials, budgetary considerations and the challenges the project’s design requirements faced.

This year, 20 projects were honored as winners of the 2021 EIR competition. With their outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail, these projects qualify as Excellence in Remodeling Award winners.
