After a 14 Year Fringe Festival Hiatus, local play write and producer Joel Passante (RETAIL ~ 4.5 STARS WINNIPEG SUN, Cannibal The Musical ~ Best of Fest 2011) returns with a memoir. Growing up with ADHD, discovering theatre as a way to cope with bullying then taking time off from the arts community to raise a family, plans didn't go as expected. Now he must regain the courage and rekindle a light lost long ago to return to the thing that once made him happy. Performing
Joel was born and raised in the North End of Winnipeg. Discovering his love for Comedy and performing at a young age, Joel started his Theatre journey in JR. High by being part of numerous school productions. Attending Sisler High School under the tutelage of THE QUEEN OF THE FRINGE Leith Clark, the spark for writing and performing flourished. Working on numerous local stage, film and fringe productions throughout his younger years this is the first time in 14 years Joel returns to the fringe stage after taking time off to raise a family. In his spare time he runs numerous D&D Campaigns as a DM, streams Retro games on TWITCH (Check out the Link), Fishes, Hikes and spends every free minute he has with his son Ezra.
