Biography
Eduardo Cerqueira, CNPq Fellowship PQ1-c, Lemann Fellow, and member from Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC), received his PhD in Informatics Engineering from the University of Coimbra, Portugal (2008). He was an invited auxiliary professor at the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra (2008-2009), as well as invited researcher at the Network Research Lab at UCLA-USA. He am now an associate professor at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Telecommunications of the UFPA in Brazil I published 8 edited books, 10 book chapters, 4 patents, and over than 200 papers in national/international refereed journals/conferences. I was involved in the organization of several conferences and workshops, including Future Multimedia Networking (IEEE FMN), Future Human-centric Multimedia Networking (ACM FhMN), ICST Conference on Communications Infrastructure, Systems and Applications in Europe (EuropeComm), Latin America Conference on Communications (IEEE LATINCOM) and Latin American Conference on Networking (IFIP/ACM LANC). I served as a Guest Editor for 6 special issues of various peer-reviewed scholarly journals. I have been coordinating or participating in many national and international projects with top university partners, including University of Bern and UCLA. My research of interest involves Edge/Fog computing, Multimedia, Future Internet, Smart Cities, and Mobility.
