Donghyeon Ko

I'm a Human-Computer Interaction researcher and User eXperience designer.

I aim to present novel experiences from an interface with dynamically controllable material properties with its values.

My research involves developing novel concepts and interfaces and exploring/understanding their values in user experience by applying emerging technologies (mainly, 3D printing, metamaterial, and composite materials) and designerly approaches (UX methodology, qualitative analysis, and design thinking).

Recently, I presented metamaterial called Thermoformable Cells (TF-Cells) to enrich thermoforming 3D printed objects.

I earned M.S. (Industrial Design) from KAIST and B.S. (Material Science and Engineering) from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH).
