We are very pleased to announce the 15th conference on computer simulation of radiation effects in solids. Held every two years, COSIRES is a leading venue for presenting and discussing recent advances in the computational investigation of materials phenomena caused or influenced by all forms of irradiation. A field that connects cascade formation to irradiation creep is necessarily at the forefront of computational and experimental materials science, often driving innovation in advanced techniques across a vast range of time and length scales.
For the first time, COSIRES will be hosted in France. The conference will be held on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Porquerolles, with accommodation, meals, and beverages provided on site.
Conference topics include, but are not limited to:
New methods coupling experiment to simulation or simulation to experiment
Long timescale simulations of post -irradiation annealing
Coarse graining techniques for microstructure representation
Simulation of electronic excitations induced by irradiation
Cascade formation and evolution
Irradiation of heterogeneous and amorphous materials
Irradiation effects on the brittle to ductile transition in metals and semiconductors
Irradiation effects in multicomponent alloys
