The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Love
The Holy Spirit is the third person on the Holy Trinity. The first person is God the Father while the second person is God the Son who is Jesus Christ. The Holy Trinity is God.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Love that flows to and from God the Father and God the Son. He is the Spirit of Love that conceived Jesus in Mary’s womb. He is the Spirit of Love whom John the Baptist saw descending on Jesus during his baptism of Jesus, which confirmed that Jesus was God’s Son. He is the Spirit of Love who led Jesus – who had just finished fasting for forty days – to the desert to be tempted by the devil to do things contrary to God’s teachings three times, and three times Jesus rejected, quite brilliantly, the devil’s worldly offers. He is the Spirit of Love that overflowed in Jesus during Jesus’s ministry more than 2000 years ago, so much so that Jesus was able to accomplish the will of the Father.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Love whom Jesus gave to his disciples and followers after his resurrection. He is the Spirit of Love who helped Jesus’s disciples and followers after Jesus ascended into heaven. He is the Spirit of Love who stayed with them to comfort them and to guide them while they spread the good news of salvation. He is Spirit of Love who gifted them with the power to heal and cast out demons. He is the Spirit of Love who gave them the strength and perseverance to minister to people who were in need of caring and in need of God. He is the Spirit of Love who encouraged them, protected them and gave them hope during their periods of trials and tribulations. He is the Spirit of Love who kept them aware that Jesus is with them even after he ascended into heaven.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Love in Jesus. He is the Spirit of Love in people who obey God’s commandments. He is the Spirit of Love in us who cries out “ABBA” which means God the Father. He is the Spirit of Love who helps us in all things at all times and knows the situation we are in. The Spirit of Love is the HOLY SPIRIT – the LOVE who flows to and from GOD the FATHER and GOD the SON who is our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
