Approach to Providing Unbundled Legal Services:
Full legal representation is not always necessary. When it makes sense for your situation, I am happy to simply provide advice or draft a document rather than taking over every aspect of your legal matter. I will communicate every step of the way to make sure my services fit within your budget and are working to help achieve your goals.
Mediation: I do not have family mediation training. I have acted as counsel in 6-10 mediations in the last 5 years.
Approach to Supporting Clients in Mediation:
If you want to attend mediation on your own, I can give you advice beforehand to help generate ideas or to give you a sense of what realistic outcomes you can expect. I can also draft a Mediation Brief, a document that organizes all the relevant information in one place so you can feel prepared for the day of mediation.
If you want me to represent you at mediation, I am happy to provide this service as well.

Cultural Diversity Experience:
I have represented people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I am dedicated to approaching difficult family law situations through the lens of my client's cultural values. I believe every culture can be respected within Canadian family law.
