Error 404: Happiness Not Found on Instagram

Complex holidays are neither fun nor comfortable. It starts with everything we do, pulling out our phones and taking dozens of pictures from all possible angles. Then we spend another ten minutes thinking about the concept. Should I go for Beyonce's new album songs or live with emojis? Now is the time to filter it and God knows how long it will take. You can go with these attitude Instagram captions for more details.

An hour later, we put our phone down to pick up the phone again and find out how much we liked our previous post. Until then, the beautiful sunset we have seen is long gone and storms are crawling in the clouds.

We had the perfect moment, but we could not enjoy it because we felt the need to show it to others.

Most of us social media users are simply immersed in sharing everything. Our brunch team, our colleagues made wonderful evenings for us, the view from our hotel rooms. We all live that person at some point in our lives or we sit with one. And that is disappointing as hell. Aren't we here to talk and catch up? So why do we ignore each other and turn on our phones instead?

Are our followers really interested in where we are and what hashtags are associated with it? Ask yourself the following: If you see these things on your feed, would you care? Sure, some images are great, but they don't let you think deeply about them - isn't that the purpose of the scrolling feature?

We do not need Instagram to confirm our luck. The increased number of likes does not correspond to the increased degree of happiness. Sure, some people look upbeat in their photos and their holiday looks from luxury magazines, but are they as happy as they look? Or did you just fight with your family? Was the food good or was it super boring? These are things that do not tell us.

Worst of all, our Instagram feed has become a battleground, a field of great competition. We are intimidated by the images of others and feel the need to improve our game. Suddenly a feeling of insecurity begins to develop as we feel compelled to ensure our happiness with others. Read more from this article.

We can instead feel comfortable and cultivate the mindset that I know that I am happy and do not need to tell me who I am. Life requires us to enjoy the moments given to us because the best comes from belonging and is strengthened by careless behavior. Why take the time to check Instagram every ten minutes if there is another Margarita on the beach?

Now don't get me wrong; I love taking pictures and my summer destinations are no exception. They remind me of the great time that I had, especially in the days when I was stuck in office fees. And yes, sitting under the tropical sun, I am also guilty of uploading photo two. But I want to change that last part.

Of course, this will not be an easy task, but I will take small steps to do so. Maybe I'll start waiting until the end of the day to be comfortable uploading something in my comfortable hotel bed. One thing is for sure, however, I refuse to worry about how I view my Instagram followers.

We don't have to tell people how happy we are, and we don't have to satisfy their curiosity. We do not have to live up to their expectations, because if anything, we should enjoy our vacation.
