About the Artist
As a child growing up, I was mostly inspired by my mother, who painted with oil for over 65 years before her health decline caused her to give it up. I finally picked up my paint brushes with her being " my master painting teacher". I starting oil landscapes painting at the age of 34. From there it grew to become a pleasant hobby especially when stuck inside during the winters. I get lost into each painting as I work the canvas. I can tune out my surroundings as I work, giving me a total relaxation into my hobby. Prior to any oil painting aspirations, I worked mostly in pencil sketching at the age of 10. This later led to my interest in oil painting. I continued art classes through school, allowing me to gain some basic composition and shadow knowledge allowing me to transfer what I visualize to a canvas. I continue to learn from every painting I complete. My inspiration today is my relationship with God and his awesome creation of nature.

This is a painting of an actual Bavarian Mountain valley where beneath that foggy mist, perched in the valley, lies the "Neuschwanstein Castle". once seized by Hitler. This mountain castle was once used by Hitler's Top Secret task force named Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg who plundered Europe of its Artistic and Cultural treasures, estimated at 1.4 million railroad cars worth of of looted paintings, statues, ancient manuscripts, and other artifacts. While some were recovered and returned to Germany, much remains unaccounted for.
Tennessee Defeated Creek Waterfall
Another hot summer afternoon with all the trees in green splendor and wild flowers in full bloom. The tranquil waterfall makes you feel you can walk right into the waters edge.
This painting of serene bluffs and waterfall, in the Summer setting once previously housed an old Grist Mill thought to be around the 1940's. The old iron axle wheel was still present at the time of this painting.

Snowy Natchez Trail
This is a painting of an old trail road off of the famed Natchez Trace, Tennessee. Using the setting of the Natchez Trace, I added the snow and created the start of a distant cold, foggy, mist in this wintery scene. If you look closely in this snow covered trail, you can find some previous "visitor" tracks, just to tease a little bit of interest!!
