The elaborate storylines and distinctive art are what set anime apart from other media. Despite being animated, these shows often have strong themes that range from lighthearted to mature, making them approachable to all audiences.
Many people find themselves watching anime as a source of comfort as well as entertainment. American business magazine Forbes wrote an article listing the top eight soothing anime films to help people relax during quarantine. It went on to describe a subcategory in anime, iyashikei, that is designed to have calming themes for viewers
Anime is deeply different from other genres. The characters are relatable, the visuals are stunning and the storylines are on a whole new level in comparison to adult American cartoons. Whether you want to watch an action anime – “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “My Hero Academia” and “Fairy Tail” – a romance anime – “Fruits Basket,” “Snow White with the Red Hair” and “Your Lie in April” – or maybe a comedy anime – “The Millionaire Detective: Balance – Unlimited,” “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” and “Spy x Family” – there is something for everyone to enjoy.
I've watched more than 50 animes since middle school. They were a source of joy and entertainment when I first started. They now make me feel soothing and blissfully nostalgic. I'll cherish the memories of hanging out with my pals while we awaited the release of fresh episodes of our favourite shows.
So, is anime really worth the hype? Absolutely.
The quotes make the anime memorable and take it to a whole other level. Contrary to popular belief, watching an anime series is not a time waster. It is enjoyable. A majority, if not all, anime series integrate life lessons in addition to the fun and thrill that accompany every action. The individuals standing behind them typically embody what friendship, love, justice, hope, respect, peace, and other noble qualities truly mean. The top anime quotations are listed here.
Takeaway message: Be ready to fail a hundred times for that one success. Although failure is a bitter pill to swallow, it’s the twin sister of success and the ultimate teacher.
Koro-Sensei from Assassination Classroom
Takeaway message: Strive for continuous improvement instead of faking perfection.
Takeaway message: Your situation does not define you. You alone are in charge of your own fate.
Takeaway message: The bitter truth is better than the sweetest lie.
Takeaway message: True friendship leaves a legacy that endures a lifetime.
Takeaway message: Work towards your goal one step at a time, don’t be hasty in seeking success.
Takeaway message: Remember that grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. Learn to appreciate the assets that you have and to make the best use of them.
I used to always cry and give up... I made many wrong turns... But you... You helped me find the right path... I always chased after you... I wanted to catch up to you... I wanted to walk beside you all the time... I just wanted to be with you...You changed me! Your smile is what saved me! That is why I'm not afraid to die protecting you! Because... I love you..."
- Hyuuga Hinata (Naruto)
"The moment you find the courage to give up your life for someone… would be the moment you understand love."
–Kenshin Himura, 'Samurai X'.
"I thought I was invincible. Then I met some girl. I wanted to live, I started to think like that; for the first time, I was afraid of death. I had never felt like that before."
–Spike Spiegel, 'Cowboy Bebop'.
"After all.. love is all about timing... If you don’t say the right thing at the right moment no matter how much fate was involved in the relationship, everything will be ruined. Even if you regret it, it’ll be too late."
-Takeuchi Masafumin, 'Bokura Ga Ita'.
"It’s not that you can fall in love with someone new because you forgot the old. It’s because you fall in love with someone new that you’re able to forget about the old. Only love can heal a heart that was hurt by love."
- Takeuchi's sister, 'Ayaka Takeuchi'.
“Do you always want to live hiding behind the mask you put up for the sake of others? You’re you, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
It’s always easy to hide behind a mask because it keeps you safe from criticism, but when you reveal who you really are, some will criticize and belittle you for it.
At the end of the day, you have to ask what’s more important: Being true to who you are and taking pride in it, or being someone you’re not and being praised for it?
Ymir (Attack On Titan)
“Don’t live your life making up excuses. The one making your choices is yourself!”
No matter what happens, in the end, we’re the ones making the final decisions. Even if those decisions are hard, and even if those decisions are limited, it’s still our decision to make.
Mugen (Samurai Champloo)
“You’ve got two legs and a heartbeat. What’s stopping you?”
It’s so easy to lose perspective when you’re feeling discouraged. As Inuyasha says, if you’ve got two legs, a heartbeat, AND you’re in good health, what’s stopping you? You’ve got everything you need, which is a lot more than some people have, physically speaking.
Inuyasha (Inuyasha)
“Not giving up on yourself is what’s truly important. That way you don’t end up pathetic.”
It’s never over until you decide it is. Once you give up on yourself, only then will you truly feel pathetic.
Reiko Mikami (Another)
“Being alone is better than being with the wrong person.”
The wrong person will make your life a living hell. Too much of that will raise your stress levels and turn you into a negative human being. In cases like that, being alone is always better than being with the wrong person. And besides, there’s always someone better out there anyway.
L Lawliet (Death Note)
“I must study lots of things or I won’t become a great person.”
It’s easy to forget studying has nothing to do with school, college, or university. That kind of studying comes to an end when you’re finished. But self-improvement? That kind of studying is a lifelong journey that only makes you better – inside and out.
Kotomi Ichinose (Clannad)
“The past is the past. We cannot indulge ourselves in memories and destroy the present.”
Destroy” the present is a great way to put it. Time waits for nobody.
Murata Ken (King From Now On!)
“If your life can change once, your life can change again.”
Pretty self-explanatory.
Sanae Furukawa (Clannad)
“You can’t sit around envying other people’s worlds. You have to go out and change your own.”
Being inspired by others is great, but at some point, you have to do something with that inspiration, or else the things you want will be ignored. And therefore you’ll make no progress.
Shinichi Chiaki (Nodame Cantabile)
“Remember the lesson, not the disappointment.”
Focusing on the disappointment adds salt to the wound. It’s the lesson that matters the most, as you can learn from it.
Holo (Spice And Wolf)
