ALI ESMAEELI
Water Everything NEXUS

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate student in Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Tehran, with a background in Chemical Engineering gained in my bachelor's degree at the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). Today, I am working as a research assistant at the Water Environment Technology group at Chalmers University of Technology. I have also collaborated at the UNESCO Chair on Water Reuse (UCWR) during my master's program and been a HSE engineer at the Academic Center of Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR) and gained knowledge on process safety and sustainability.

To date, my research has focused on three subjects, including water, energy/environment, and safety. I have been attempting to take a step toward removing NOM from deinking water using fluorescence spectroscopy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and improving human safety in the new endangering world we live in today, as I have always felt an innocent sense in water, environment, and safety.

Currently, I am continuing my research to be able to dig deeper into drinking water treatment, especially in the field of water quality monitoring. I am looking forward to pursuing my career in academia. Hence, being able to find a PhD position related to my background would be a major step in achieving my goals and unveiling my skills and myself.
