Agbawe Archives is a community of Ghanaian creatives using art and storytelling to reflect the soul of African life. Based in Accra, we explore the rich cultures of our communities, capturing their beauty, resilience, and rhythm while also shedding light on the issues that shape them, one photo at a time.
Through photography, film, and collaborative projects, we document the moments, spaces, and emotions that often go unseen. Our work moves between the intimate and the social, using visuals as both memory and mirror, a way to preserve what is fading and question what is changing.
At its heart, Agbawe Archives is about connection: between artists and their roots, between stories and the people who live them, and between the past and what is still to come.
