The 2^nd Workshop Surface Science Rio (2WS2Rio) will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics on April 25th, 2022.

The workshop will deal with basic and applied research related to physical and chemical phenomena on surface and interfaces of metal oxides single crystal surfaces, thin films and nanostructures, including metal clusters on surfaces, carbon‐based materials, thin magnetic films, solid‐liquid and solid-gas interfaces and catalysis. These topics belong to very active research fields in Brazil and represent promising themes for further collaborative efforts between the participants. 2WS2Rio intend to strengthen cooperation initiatives and serve for scientific discussions at a high scientific level promoting interactions between groups in Brazil and Germany.
