Welcome to Tian Wang's Webpage

I am currently a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, under the supervision of Valentin Blomer and Pieter Moree.

Earlier, I was a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, working under the supervision of  Alina Carmen Cojocaru .

My research interests are in number theory and arithmetic geometry.

In particular, I study arithmetic properties of abelian varieties by applying techniques from group theory, algebraic geometry, and number theory.

Currently, I work on problems related to higher dimensional generalizations of the Lang-Trotter conjecture, the effective version of the Open Image Theorems for abelian varieties, and the Murty-Patankar Conjecture.
