About me
My name is Chia-Yu (Charles) Wu ( 吳佳瑜). I earned my Ph.D. in Physical Geography at the University of Florida in 2019. My primary research interests are to employ GIS (Geographical Information System) tools to model the hydrological, sedimentation processes; as well as flooding, fluvial and coastal hazards and human-environmental interaction.
I currently serve as faculty member at the Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences at University of Dayton (UD). I am currently also working with the UD Human Rights Center to map the spatial distributions of humanitarian crisis around the world. In addition, I am also part of the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community's Faculty Fellows Program, and trying to understand the flood resilience of disadvantaged communities in Dayton in accordance with the future climate change.
