Explore the tabs and groups of buttons in your ribbon
Read the instructions for how to resize columns and rows.
Practice in your workbook:
Enter data in some of your cells.
Resize a column.
Resize a row.
To Resize Rows:
Select a row or group of rows.
On the Home tab, in the Cells group, select Format>Row Height.
Type the Row Height and select OK.
You may also choose to AutoFit Row Height, which will automatically adjust the row height of the selected cells to fit the contents within.
To Resize Columns:
Select a column or range of columns.
On the Home tab, in the Cells group, select Format>Column width.
Type the Column Width and select OK.
You may also choose to AutoFit Column Width, which will automatically adjust the column width of the selected cells to fit the contents within.
