This week we watched a video from HBO in homeroom on September 11. We watched during Religion and it was very interesting and moving with out a lot of film of death and destruction. I cannot believe its been 20 years. The country was so changed after it happened.

In 7th grade Literature we took our tests on Rikki Tikki Tavi.  They did well and the story was very cute. I do believe they enjoyed the story. Tests will be returned soon. For homework there is a biography on O'Henry I would like them to watch and summarize for discussion. THe link is on the Google Classroom page.

In 6th grade reading...we took our spelling test and Reading test on All American Slurp. Our next story is Viva New Jersey. Also the 6th grade, room 303, will have to take their I Ready assessment in the computer lab and in upcoming weeks we will have to use one or two class times per week to go to the lab and use I ready. THis is happening becaause the Chromebooks the children received cannot be updated to the I Ready programs....New Chromebooks are on the way and then the children can go back to taking the tests on their own time as the program was intended..

6th grade English is finishing up our NOUNS section this week. We had some worksheets to complete. On Monday we will review and the test on Nouns will be Tuesday or Wednesday.

September 3, 2021

There is a literature test for 7th grade on Tuesday. We went over questions and concepts today. I suggest they reread the story until they really know it and understand the concepts.

6th grade reading also has a reading test on Tuesday. We studied today for it with review questions.

There was a religion test today on Session 2.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR CLASSROOM with purchases from Scholastic. Our class we page is https://orders.scholastic.com/1M6ME  Plus the kids got flyers sent home flyers earlier this week.
