Research encompasses one of the core functions of any colleges and universities in addition to instruction, extension, and productivity. In effect, it may be regarded as the most fundamental functions of higher education. It is through research that needs of our society are identified and addressed.
Given the context of the aforesaid challenges and the breath and inspiration of Catholic Paulinian Education, St. Paul University Iloilo, aims to continue to pursue academic EXCELLENCE through transformative learning, innovative research and responsive community.
Anchored on the Vision and Mission of the University, the University Research Center (URC), has undertaken steps to foster research culture in the University, which eventually lifted the level of researches conducted by the students as well as by the faculty members.
To further elevate the passion for research, and correspondingly raise its quality, URC developed these Research Agenda, essentially to:
encourage more faculty researchers to conduct research;
provide framework for researchers to aligned with the advocacies and programs of the University;
communicate the latest studies conducted and proposed by faculty members, and;
sustain the drive among the students, faculty and staff.
