About me
I have worked with Spring Grove Public Schools for 20 years as the Technology Director. Prior to working with the District I was the owner and CEO of JTEC Inc of Winona MN. JTEC Inc provided technology consulting services to schools throughout Southern Minnesota. We specialized in Networking, Web Development, and Educational Technologies.
I am also involved in Music and have a recording studio at my home in Winona MN.
DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY
Spring Grove Public School provides a variety of technologies for our students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Each Elementary student has access to an iPad which contains hundreds of educational apps that help children in all areas of their education.
In 2011 the district started a one-to-one laptop program for Grades 6 - 12. This program provides each student with access to a Chromebook or a MacBook Air Laptop. These devices are managed and maintained by Spring Grove Public School.
Each student is also issued a Google Apps and Microsoft account that will provide access to various applications such as word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet. This account also includes a storage area for data in the Cloud. All of our devices are filtered, which will prevent students from visiting unwanted websites at school and at home.
