Below you will find general information about the string orchestra program in our school. Please click on the above links for each ensemble to get additional information.
Every student will receive one group lesson per week. Each student's lesson will always occur on the same day of the week (i.e. Tuesday). The time will rotate to the next later time slot on the schedule every week so students only miss the same class once every 6 weeks.
Lesson schedules with student names are:
1. Posted on the music room doors
2. Given to all homeroom teachers
It is the student's responsibility to know when their next lesson is and remember to leave class at the appropriate time.
6th grade: Wednesdays from 3:40-4:40pm
5th grade: Thursdays from 3:40-4:40pm
Pick up is at the front main entrance of the 5-6 building.

5th grade Winter Concert: Monday, December 6 7:00pm, 5-6 GC Cafetorium
6th grade Winter Concert: Wednesday, December 8 7:00pm, 5-6 GC Cafetorium
String Jamboree: Thursday, March 31 6:15pm & 7:30pm, 10-12 GC Gymnasium
5th grade Spring Concert: Monday, May 9 7:00pm, 5-6 GC Cafetorium
6th grade Spring Concert: Wednesday, May 11 7:00pm, 5-6 GC Cafetorium
The following is the required concert attire for all 5th and 6th grade musicians:
Boys: white polo or dress shirt, black dress pants, black shoes
Girls: white blouse or shirt, dress pants or skirt, black shoes (skirts should be an appropriate length for sitting on stage)
NO JEANS OR SNEAKERS PLEASE!
