>> The Biggest Secret is in Human Brain!

Note: this picture was built by using the rs-fcMRI method proposed by Fox et. al. (2005). Resting-state fMRI dataset was downloaded from a public site: oasis-brains.org. A final default network mask is available with t-value cutoff 8.0 and cluster-size cutoff 100 voxels. (see image in below)

  • ICA: a tool to explore the dynamics of human brain system.

  •  Two subsystems of default network in human resting brain
  1. LTC-PCC/U subsystem: store of memory and past experience.

  1. MPFC-PCC subsystem: plan for future and virtual imaginition.

Note: above images generated by probabilistic spatial ICA on resting-state fMRI data.
  • Another interesting RSN revealed by pICA

Note: first, special thanks to Dr. Donna Dierker who encouraged me to learn CARET, I therefore can draw aboving beautiful scene.  This picture was built on resting-state fMRI data from 17 healthy subjects (oasis-brains.org) by using the group-wise probabilistic ICA method proposed by Beckmann et. al. (2005). A  final network mask is achieved with z-value cutoff 4.5. You can get it if you send me a request email.
