AUG.12.2008   ZUFC is hosting match with Irvine Persian Team 8:30 PM in Granada Hills.    

AUG.02.2008   ZUFC Match with Irvine Persian Team 8:00 AM in Irvine.  The game ended with ZUFC defeating the Irvine Persian Team  3 to 2. 

July.28.2008   Match III between ZUFC Under 30 vs ZUFC Over 30 at 8:30 PM.  The game ended with Under 30 Defeating Over 30  7 to 5. 

04.26.2008      ZUFC Match with Irvine Persian Team  8:00 AM in Irvine.

04.08.2008      Match II between ZUFC Under 30 vs ZUFC Over 30 at 8:30 PM.  The game ended with Under 30 Defeating Over 30  3 to 1.

ZUFC players selected their outstanding goalkeeper, Houshang Jamshidi, as their Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the game against the Team-E-Honarmandan.  Houshang's beautiful diving saves throughout the game prevented the Honarmandan's attack from scoring goals in a number of close encounters.  It is also important to note that one of the goals scored by Team-E-Honaramndan was on a penalty shot.  Congratulations Houshang!

Final friendly game prior to the Honarmandan match has been set for Sunday April 22nd in Simi Valley against a Spanish opposition.  Kick off  time is 10AM.

After multipe tries, a friendly game has been set for Sunday April 8th at 9:30 AM in Anaheim Hills.  The opponents of ZUFC are the Iranian All-Stars of Anaheim Hills.  No injuries are reported, and full team should be available for this match.

ZUFC defeated a second selection of Persian All-Stars in Orange county today with a decisive score of 3-1.  ZUFC team was augmented on this day by coaching skills of veteran coach, Houshang Mekrkhodavandi, and the skills of the young free agent, Saam.  Missing from line up were Mehrdad, Houshang K, and Baback.

A second warm-up game is being set up in Irvine with the Persian All-Stars on Sunday, March 25th.  More details to come.

Z United was defeated in the first match of the 2007 campaign.  It was the first game where all the players were playing together and the team put together a very respectable showing.  The first 45 minutes ended 1:0, although ZUFC put together a number of great offensives and were unlucky that they did not tie the scoresheet.

Second 45 minutes was tied 1:1 with a great offensive finished by Shahin.  The host team score the winner in the dying minutes.

A warm up game has been set up with a Persian soccer team on 3.18.2007.  Game starts at 11:00 AM in Plaza Park at the corner of Irvine and Warner in Irvince, Orange County.
