Columbus Kids

Our friend in Nebraska had planned to rescue these two, but when some

unforeseen circumstances happened, she was unable to take any more

into her home right then. She asked if we could take them in.

The ferrets had belonged to a woman`s son, he had left, and she didn`t

want them. They were  being kept in the garage.

Kurt left for the 8 hour drive to Columbus, Nebraska at 9 am on

November 11, 2009, and  returned at 3:15 am November 12th, only

 stopping for food & fuel.

They didn`t have names--they were being called "Ferret#1" and

"Ferret#2"  When we asked the woman which was which, she didn`t

know. She described one as an albino, & the other looked "like

a racoon"  (The "albino" is a dark-eyed white boy)

They were being fed cat food, and had only one  bare hammy :(

The ferrets were quite thin. They were under fed and, unlike most ferrets,

fought over food, because of this.  The white one was grinding his teeth

 because he had an ulcer.

We named them Christopher
