July 26th, 2008 Today, someone came to our door with a ferret in his hands. He had found it about 5 days ago, wandering
around in the apartment building where he lives. He had asked around for days,
but no one seemed to know whose it was--and no one had posted any flyers, etc.
(We live in a very small town!) He asked if we were still taking in
ferrets.... We invited him in, and Kurt held the sweet chocolate boy in his hands, while I took the man out & gave him a quick tour of our
sanctuary. I asked him if he`d been calling the ferret any particular name, & he said "Kodo". I showed him OUR Kodo--and he said "How about PODO?"
I showed him OUR Podo. Then I asked him HIS name. "Brad" he said. I asked "May I name him Bradley?" The guy grinned & said "Well SURE!" Bradley appears to be about 2 1/2 - 3 years old, and is friendly, but very active. He is in quarantine, being tested & monitored for awhile. He
has no glaring health issues at this time. Love, Zoo ****************** UPDATE--It`s been almost two years. Bradley doesn`t do well with others, but he`s a sweetie. He enjoys one on one time with mommy. He is still in good health, for now, and the only ferret in the room (besidesWackford) who isn`t into treats.He does, however, like ferretone :) New picture below. More later!
