Class Descriptions A Taste of Reborning!
If you have been wondering what all the excitement is about, but don't want to invest a lot of money or time, here is the class that will answer many of your questions about reborning. We begin with a tiny 6" baby and with blushing, highlighting, and creasing, bring your little one to life in four or five short hours. You will learn some of the tricks and techniques needed to complete the larger dolls. This is a fun, no pressure class that will give you a taste of reborning and let you take home a precious little baby, complete with clothes! Cost $49.95 Here is what one student had to say about her class experience: I attended the Beginner Reborning class that Deborah held in April, 2009. This was my very first time reborning a doll from scratch. Deborah is an amazing hostess and reborn teacher. She is patient and knowledgeable. She has a wonderful collection of reborn babies in her home to ohh and awhh over as well. I learned all the steps needed to complete my first reborn doll in a slower more relaxed way. You really need to attend a class to understand all the little details needed to make a reborn really look like a reborn doll. My doll passed the awwwh test without even having been completed! Deborah is truly an artist and teaches the Secrist method. dolls are made and would like to begin this new hobby? Or are you ready
to start the process of learning how to make fine artist dolls to sell?
This class is a perfect introduction to the art form. In this class
you will learn to paint a beautiful preemie doll fit for a family
heirloom. We will teach you how to apply layers of heat set paint to
create lifelike baby skin along with the blushing, creasing, nails and
lip color that will make your baby come alive. You will learn basic
doll construction, how to root eyelashes and will have the option of learning to root the hair
on your baby or using a clear cap wig. This one day class is packed
with information and demonstrations. The price of this class includes
everything you will need to complete your baby, along with some
delightful surprises. Just pack your energy and enthusiasm!  Cost $195 Advanced Class This two day class is a continuation of the Beginner Class. Students must have completed at least one Beginner Class to qualify. In this class you will learn advanced skin mottling techniques, advanced veining, eyelash application for open eyed dolls, and advanced rooting techniques. You will also learn how to open the nose, use magnets, make pacifiers, belly plates, and tush plates. If you have questions about any advanced techniques, we will find the answers! This class is somewhat less structured so participants can work at their own pace. You will be working on a doll of your choice. Again, everything you need to make your most realistic baby ever is included. Come join some serious doll makers in a focused, but fun setting! Cost $195 Advanced Ethnic Class This class was created to help the more experienced doll maker create a beautiful baby of any ethnicity using Genesis paints. We can help you create an African American, Native American, Middle Eastern, Hispanic, or Asian baby using formulas that we have developed. The teachers at RAE believe that ethnic color intensity is a personal preference, so whether you want a very lightly colored baby or a baby with deeper tones, we can help you achieve your goal. This class is arranged to allow you to work at your own pace. You may choose any doll to work on, and as always, all materials are included. Enjoy a day of discovery and birth! Advanced Reborning April 28, 2012 9-6pm Taste of Reborning & Beginner Reborning Please read the description of classes to the left. If you would like to take a class, email me to let me know which class. I am requesting a non-refundable deposit of $20 for the Taste of Reborning class and $40 to hold your place in the other classes. If classes are canceled due to insufficient attendance, your deposit will be returned. The deadline for registration is 10 days before the class. I will still take students after that time, but only if I have the materials since it will probably be too late to order supplies. If you are within a 200 mile radius of Hamilton, OH and have a group of 4 or more and would like me to teach a class, I can come to you!
