Caoimhe's Arts & Sciences Homepage

Greetings!

This website is dedicated to the pursuit of research and experimentation into historical textiles, ecological archaeology and other SCA-related topics.

I have been an active member in the historical-recreation group the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)* since 2000. After a couple of years of heavy fighting (and a few concussions), I turned to the rich world of Arts & Science (A&S) research and have concentrated mainly on early-period textiles ever since. With new analytical techniques and grave finds emerging almost annually, there is always something new to ponder and experiment with.

Please feel free to have a look around and share any of the information or pdfs on this site but please give credit to the author(s).

Caoimhe ('Keeva') has moved back in 2011 to the Barony of Lions Gate (Vancouver, BC), from the Shire of Adamaster (Cape Town, South Africa) in the Kingdom of Drachenwald. She is a Wildlife Ecologist for an environmental consulting firm when not in garb.

*The SCA is a non-profit, secular group dedicated to researching and recreating the middle ages (~600 -1600 AD), more information can be found at www.sca.org.
