Hummelstown Pennsylvania - 19 May 2009 Did you ever wonder if Jesus played stick ball, or some other ancient sport? Do you think there is a comfortable place for competition in a God-centered life? Is it possible for victory to be reconciled with humility, and defeat with everlasting life? These and other great philosophical questions are debated for real -- grass stains, thumb sprains and all -- in our co-ed church volleyball league. That's right! While bumping, setting and spiking, we discuss the meaning of life, and the agony of making the out-of-bounds markers into a perfect rectangle. Games are played every Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. The season begins with practice matches on May 21 and May 28, and concludes with a league tournament on Sunday August 23.
