I am a Research Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.  Before joining the Fed in 2008, I taught at Emory University from 2001-2008, first as Assistant Professor and then as Associate Professor (with tenure).  I got a Ph.D. degree in Economics at the University of Minnesota. My research interest  lies in the areas of monetary economics, business cycles, and open-economy macroeconomics. You can view some of my recent writings by visiting the "Research" page.
