What Is a ZL3 Radio Buildathon?
A ZL3 Radio Buildathon is a group of radio amateurs from Canterbury who come together
to help others build a radio or electronic kit set as a group.
The first event was held in November 2008.
Any member of the public of any age is welcome to join in.
Our youngest builder was 6 and the oldest 81 years young!
Kits that have been built in Christchurch have included
simple Short Wave Broadcast Radios,
Direct Conversion Ham Bands Receivers and matching
low power Morse Code (CW) transmitters.
The ZL3 Buildathon Project objectives include:
