In-Character

Race: Elderian Drak'eren, Te'rath Drak'eren

Age (in Terra years):  24

Apperance

Zeltan stands at 1.9m tall and is well built due to the merging of his analog. He looks like a classical dragon without wings and a thin membrane flap extends from his forehead down to the tip of the tail which helps him senses magic. He is quite a rare breed of Drak'eren for most of them have black skin compared to green. His tail is roughly one third of his body length and this aids him in balance although couches and chairs do cause slight discomfort.

wears a long flowing royal purple robe with golden trimmings. A gem encrusted leather belt bearing the sigil of the Maverick hung loosely around his waist.

History

Childhood

Zeltan was born to Zark and Melrin, both related to the royal family. Lui (Draken for leader or seer) Nerend brings peace to the tiny population yet one day, his son Nak'ragh went missing. This caused him to sank into depression and eventually, a Civil War known as The Sweep started among the people. The Lui were casted out and five wise Drakeren then took leadership and form the Council. It is unknown what happen to Zark and Melrin although sources revealed that they took refuge in the Lunar Valley where Zeltan was born. Unfortunately, they died from an illness but not before giving Zeltan to Xifer, Zark's mentor and Council member. He took Zeltan in and gave a proper burial for his parents.

Zeltan grew up with another orphan Drak'eren in Xifer's care named Ke'vilar and the two youth grew to be best friends.

Visit to Falerin's abode

Once, Ke'vilar and Zeltan visited the dangerous EarthStorm where Ke'vilar pushed Zeltan into the Storm after hearing voices telling him to do so. This cause Zeltan to travel to present day limbo and brought him to Falerin's abode. There, he met the seekers, namely Damsel Lkeas and Kazuma. Zeltan learned of The'galin, read a few pages of the guide  he would write in the future and things regarding the genocide before Lkeas and Damsel took them away to prevent him from altering the history. He was later returned to Elden'thas with the help of Xifer, whom Ke'vilar had rushed to fetched after realising what he had done. Zeltan told Xifer what happened and much to his regret, Xifer had to supress Zeltan's memory. It must be noted that the word Caelestia was constantly floating in his subconscious which might explain Zeltan’s decision to seek refuge in Caelestia years later.

Betrayal

Zeltan took the path of healing while Ke'vilar display potential for offensive magic even then, the two would engage in friendly competition. Ke'vilar, despite his best efforts, never get much notice from Xifer who put more attention on Zeltan for Xifer was a master herbalist himself. Although he didn't openly display his feelings, he was jealous of Zeltan. Things soured between them when Ellan came to Xifer's school. Both vie for her affections and Ellan eventually chose Zeltan. Enraged and depressed, he withdraw from society and Zeltan. Little did he know that Meg'garoth, a dimen from Choons, was in his darkest thoughts and communicating with him. Eventually, he set a plan in motion with will eventually wipe the entire Drak'eren population out, save for Lakes and Zeltan. While Zeltan was escaping, aided by Xifer who scacrificed himself, Ke'vilar had casted a vulgar spell on Zeltan which causes his cells to spilt into thousands turning him into a creature who will never be whole again...

Terrian

He visited Terrian and met Harkel, his analog although both do not know it yet. The two formed a close friendship and even Harkel discovered who Zeltan was, he did not ceased to be his friend and instead, became his pillar of support (Note that Harkel was shock and did kick Zeltan out of his house upon learning of that).

Truthseeking

The word "Caelestia" kept coming up in his mind and he decided to visit the realm where he eventually met the seekers again. At first, he kept to himself for he was worried and knew how Lorians treat the drakels. Yet he slowly came out of his shell and began Truthseeking, believing that The'galin is responsible for the demise of his world, which is wrong obviously. He spends most of his time in Caelestia or Terrian where Harkel had kindly taken him in.

Return home

Upon his return to his now barren home, he came into contact with Maverick, who was weaken by the thousands of deaths of Drak'eren, and the two fuse for a while with both party keeping their own minds. Zeltan finally regain his "solid" form when Maverick requested a certain Bill, who had connections to the necromancer Morgan, to aid in plunging a runic blade which will break the curse. Although Bill did so, Daniel intervened at the last moment before the spell was completed by channeling energy of his analogs. This would later cause problems in Zeltan's thoughts although the effects wore off quickly.

Path to druidism

Drak’erens survive purely on magical energies alone and enjoy the benefits of not eating any solid for Elden’thas is saturated with such energies. Yet, as he is forced to move away from his beloved realm, he finds himself helpless and weak. It was due to such circumstances that he took the path of druidism.  Unlike other healing magic which  focuses on the caster’s abilities, Zeltan’s magic accelerates the healing process and thus is largely dependent on receiver as well as the caster, making it more energy efficient as he is able to heal more. Becoming a druid is a life changing decision for Zeltan for no Drak’eren has ever embraced druidism due to the nature of the realm itself although Lui Xifer himself has ties with the Kaws druids. He has since embraced the power of nature and uses it with respect.

The invasion

When he learn of the invasion of his realm by Meg'garoth, he begins to formulate a plan to get it back even at the risk of his life. Knowing that his analog Ze'lent is the Demonlord's right hand, he went to the realm Elderantas, Elden'thas' mirror, to find out more about his enemy. It was there that he met Elizath, a female Drak'eren who loves Ze'lent and is actually Ellan's analog. He finds himself slowly drawn to her and she eventually became his mate. After a confrontation with Ze'lent, the latter realised that he is merely a pawn and agreed to help Zeltan to defeat Meg'garoth. With the help of the Kaws, Harkel and Ze'lent, Zeltan launched an attack on Neg'rak Castle, an abandoned castle that Meg'garoth decided to build his base on. In the heat of the battle Zel'lent was struck a mortal blow by Meg'garoth but not before plunging Maverick's blade into his skull. As Ze'lent lay on the ground dying, Maverick advises Zeltan to merge with his analog, which he did with reluctance.

Present day

Dtermined to pursue his own happiness, he married Elizath and with the help of Maverick, lead the people to Elden'thas for Elderantas

Yet happiness once again escape from Zeltan's grasps. Maverick's Pentheon, the Zuunash, had summoned a meeting, one that usually took place among the Gods and their Avatar, where Maverick was removed from the Zuunash due to a bet involving creation and free will he made centuries ago. Zeltan, being his Avatar, was exiled and forbidded from communicating or going back to Elden'thas for an eternity.

Out of Character

Name: Noel Soong

Hailing from Singapore, he first join the clue seeking one fine day after stumbling upon Clue Discussion Thread IV. It was there he begins his "career" as a seeker although it was much later that he begins using mIRC to get more involved. Then, during the month of December, he had an idea- to simplify the Archive so it only gives out important points instead of having to read the whole conversation. Yet, he slowly realise that it's impossible to do so and thus started the Truthseekers' Guide (Initially called Information Simplified) while he was at a Christmas Party (Hey, I'm bored >_> and it's my father's office party BTW). The guide would contain information needed to help new seekers get on track with the story instead of having to begin their career without a clue. It has since evolved and expanded to include more things.
