Norman Goodman has provided consulting advice to clients in a number of contested cases. Typically, an insurance carrier commences a lawsuit to collect disputed premium from an employer. Mr. Goodman has assisted defense counsel with the technical aspects of workers compensation to bring about a favorable disposition or settlement.

Mr. Goodman has more than 30 years background in classification methodology, payroll auditing and procedures, experience modifications, guarantee cost and retrospective rating, insurance company procedures and methods.

Norman Goodman has been in the workers compensation premium recovery business since 1979. During that time he has helped hundreds of employers in all major industries to isolate workers compensation errors and recover premium overcharges totaling millions of dollars. Major industries since 1979 include construction, hospitals and nursing facilities, and manufacturing.

Mr. Goodman developed a national reputation as an expert in workers compensation classification methodology, experience rating, retrospective rating, payroll auditing tactics and procedures, and insurance company practices.

He developed and marketed EMS II, the first personal computer based software to calculate the workers comp experience mod. Employers, consultants, insurance agencies and brokers, and insurers in all 50 states have used EMS II.


Mr. Goodman has authored and marketed two workers compensation manuals: Workers Compensation Tricks and Traps and PRA's Premium Cost Cutting System.  Both manuals are an insiders view of the workers compensation premium system and provide insights into how an employer can save money on this important insurance.
