Drugs: A Modest Stimulant

For the past 40 years at least, the United States of America, and much of the rest of the world, has been on a crusade against the drug cartel. Drug trafficking has been a major concern of the governments since the beginning of drug distribution. This approach has cause much crime and killing and has expanded the black market. This fighting drugs and trafficking is quite unnecessary. What we would like to propose is a legal distribution of drugs across the counter, and widespread use. We propose this simply because certain drugs have been seen to be performance enhancers, and would give the United States an advantage over the rest of the world in job performance and competition. Also it would help decrease the population of those in the world who are quite unintelligent. If a number of druggies are overdosing, that is that number less druggies in the world, and the world is a better place. Also drugs help in the creativity of musicians, and come in quite handy for song writing. Drugs should be legalized because of the drop in crime rate that would follow, the enhancing of performance in jobs and athletics, and in the advantage of musical creativity.
It is of our opinion that instead of banning illegal drugs, they should be made legal and spread across all generations. First of all, drugs are what cause most underground violence and black market dealings. If drugs were perfectly street legal, none of this underground violence would be happening in the first place. Drugs, in fact, help the people that take them and cause happiness in their lives, however delusional they become. Also, if drugs became legal, a huge part of our economy would start booming, possibly even resurrecting our current tattered economic status. Congressman Ron Paul, the last honest politician, calls for an end to the drug war. According to Paul, the war on drugs increases racial injustices on blacks and African Americans. Ron Paul compares the war on drugs to the Prohibition, and comments how neither worked or seemed to be working. Congressman Paul believes that the federal government should not regulate the personal habits of people, drugs included. Drugs are even useful for medicinal purposes. Also, the legalization of hard drugs will alleviate pressure from the court system and the jail system on a national scale. If any form of government should have a say in drug use, it should be the state government, and even then, certain pressures and state regulation should be lessened dramatically, because it only causes dramatic and negative results.
Such creative stimulants as drugs were also used in the world of music. They were a necessity to produce many memorable songs from legendary artists. The Beatles made use of LSD and Preludin on several occasions. Preludin kept them awake during late night performances and LSD enhanced their creativity. While under the influence they developed such songs as Strawberry Fields and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Another culturally influential band that used drugs was Led Zeppelin. Several members of the band were addicted to cocaine and methamphetamine. However, while under the influence they produced earth-shattering songs such as Dazed and Confused and Stairway to Heaven. In addition the most prolific users such as Jimmy Paige and John Bonham are considered two of the greatest musicians in the world to date. Drugs transformed the world of music and can do the same for any aspiring young musician.
Finally, drugs will increase American productivity. Drugs like methamphetamine increase the athletic ability and proficiency of all that use it. This could come in handy in the military and athletics such as the Olympics. Athletes could overcome the addiction and use the advantages to better means. Also drugs would increase productivity in the workplace and the corporate world. With job productivity up, America could once again rise to the top economy of the world. Drugs would increase proficiency of Americans.
Drugs should be legalized because of the drop in crime that would result, the growth of the music industry, and the increased proficiency of Americans. If drugs were legalized, the government would stop wasting taxpayer's dollars on fighting drugs and drug trafficking. Also music artists could freely be inspired to write beautiful music. Finally, America as a whole would increase in proficiency. Drugs are good for the American people.
