Welcome to The University of York Sailing and Windsurfing Club! Mainly we sail and windsurf at Beaver Sailing Club (Southfields Reservoir), which is about 40 minutes drive away from the University campus. These trips occur most Wednesdays and Saturdays/Sundays during term time, and you can book yourself a place simply by replying to the emails sent out via the mailing list. Sailing continues all year whereas Windsurfing tends to take a break during the slightly chillier Winter months (i.e. if it snows).

 

If you have never tried either of these sports before, be warned. You may end up an addict - constantly looking out for swaying trees and fast moving clouds. It is a breathtaking experience to be out there in two elements. Get on the wetsuit, and give it a go!
