Getting to Bristol

 By road

Bristol is easily accessible from both the M5 and the M4 motorways.  From the M4 exit at junction 19 (marked Bristol) and follow the M32 into the centre.  The conference venue, UWE's Frenchay campus, is easily accessible from junction 1 of the M32 (visit UWE's travel information page for directions).  From the south, exit the M5 at junction 18 and follow the A4 Portway into the city centre.

 By train

Bristol has two main train stations: Bristol Temple Meads, which is centrally located, and Bristol Parkway which is only a short distance from UWE's Frenchay campus where the conference is being held.  Visit the National Rail website for details of train times.

 By air

Bristol International Airport has affordable flights from many UK and European destinations.  Easyjet and Ryan Air both provide reasonable priced flights to Bristol.

The airport is 8 miles from the city centre and Bristol International Flyer operates a regular express link from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads train station and the central Marlborough Street bus station.

 

Getting around Bristol

Travel to the conference

For delegates opting for the Accommodation package transport will be provided from the conference venue to the hotel on Wednesday 11 April and to and from the hotel on Thursday 12 April.

Please note that the conference is being held during the university's holiday period and bus timetables differ from the term-time timetable. 

Bristol Parkway train station is only a 20 minute walk from campus, go to google maps pedometer for walking directions.

Car-parking at the conference

Delegates arriving by car will have access to free on-site parking.  Directions to appropriate parking will be provided from UWE's main entrance.
